Community Transportation

Community transportation provides an inclusive transportation service provided by a community organization in a low-density area of Nova Scotia, often in areas where fixed-route transit is too costly, inefficient, and ineffective to operate.

This is an essential service for residents in rural areas that need to access healthcare, employment and training, food, government services, and to enjoy their communities.

The JRTA provides grants to Community Transportation Operators to support operating and capital funding costs.
