Community Transportation Assistance Program

The Community Transportation Assistance Program (CTAP) provides funding to municipalities, First Nations, and non-profit organizations to cover a portion of the operating costs of a community-based, inclusive transportation service.

Services are developed and provided by municipalities, First Nations, or non-profit organizations through partnerships by coordinating public, private, non-profit and volunteer resources and services. Community Transportation services aim to improve transportation options to Nova Scotians living in rural areas who need transportation to and from medical appointments, education and recreation opportunities.
